Rental conditions
1. general conditions
The car is rented according to the Rental Agreement (R.A.) Terms and Conditions. Renters must meet all TOPRENT qualifications, standards and requirements including, age, payment form, driving license and a valid passport. At the time of check out (when receiving the car), the renter must have with him a copy of the passport and driving license.
2. renter's age
Minimum age is 21 years. Driver must be in possession of a valid driving license at least 1 year old. Any additional driver must meet minimum age required.
3. reservations
Reservations will only be confirmed for each car. If TOPRENT does not have a group of cars available, a car from a superior group will be offered with the initial rate, so the cost for clients will be the same. This means that in any case you will receive the car that you asked for or a better one for the same price.
4. car availability
Cars are available in cities where TOPRENT is active and other cities upon request. When making the reservation, please be sure that you complete the exact location where you need us to bring the car (e.g. Otopeni Airport, your hotel, your address…). Bringing the car to your location won't cost you anything. Taking or returning the car in another city will cost you a fee that will be illustrated in the final step of you reservation process.
5. terms of payment
TOPRENT accepts MasterCard/Eurocard and Visa. Cash payments can be made in Euro, US Dollars and Romanian currency. For your security and peace of mind, no payments are taken online. All payments are processed at the moment we rent out the car in a face to face meeting.
6. rental rates
Oil, maintenance and third party liability are included. Fuel is not included. Minimum rental period is one day (24 hours). First three hours over the 24 hours will be charged with 10 euro/ day. Over three hours delay a full day will be charged according to standard rate. For monthly or long term arrangements we offer information on request. For any extra driver, a 5 euro/day tax will be added on top of the rental rates.
Upon delivery there is a minimum deposit of 200 euros required. This deposit will be fully returned upon the car’s safely return to our company.
7. special equipment
snow chains may be hired ree of charge.
8. penalties
For any damage or accidents made to the car the client will be responsible as following:
your responsibility will be reduced to the deposit. The only case when you will have to pay is when you damage the car because of your negligence (e.g. leaving the car open, burning the chairs with the cigar). The deposit will also be used for any damages to the vehicle’s exterior (Euro 200), theft of vehicles parts (Euro 300), loss of vehicle’s keys (Euro 150) or vehicle’s documentations (Euro 100).
9. fuel
The client must bring back the car with the same level of fuel; (full tank) otherwise the client must pay for the missing gasoline with the same rate as the gas stations.
10. delivery/collection (return)
Free of charge in cities where TOPRENT is active.
Bringing or returning the car to another cities will cost you an extra charge.
11. rule of the road
Drive on the right hand side.
12. insurance
CDW and TP are valid only in Romania Please note that in the unfortunate event of an accident the nearest police station must be informed and an accident report obtained. Without this report renter could be responsible for the costs of repair. Standard Insurance (SI) and Full Coverage Insurance (FCI) do not waive the renter's responsibility for damages produced to TOPRENT Group vehicles in the following situations: inside and under car body damages; willful action or gross negligence; driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs; written statement by traffic police is not present at time of check in; rented car driven by unauthorized person
13. border crossing
Cars are allowed to cross the border under certain conditions. Ask for more info if you want to cross the border with the rented car.
14. breakdown
In case of problems with the rented car, we shall replace it with another one as soon as possible within the same day; This means that if you have a breakdown and you call us, at the same time another car will leave towards your location.
15. legal
In case of legal problems arisen from this contract, the local rules of law from Petrosani, Hunedoara apply.
